On this programme you will explore different management and leadership theories/techniques and investigate how these can be applied in current and future roles within your organisation. At the end of each unit you will complete an assessment on the unit topic which is applied to your role within your own organisation.
The course has a strong focus on practical applicability within the workplace, and participants are encouraged to share their management experience and learn from both their tutor and the other course participants. It is particularly useful for individuals who are new to management or have never lead a project or service.
During the programme you will learn to plan, organise and delegate work using different problem solving techniques and planning models. You will be introduced to a number of leadership theories and will evaluate your own leadership style. The creation of personal development planning for yourself and others within your team will be a key part of this course, along with examining ways to create and sustain high-performance teams.
