This course is designed for those working within a childcare, early learning or play work setting, with children and young people, who are looking to advance their practice and career. It is for learners who want to study on a part time basis and are looking for opportunities to enhance their career in a leadership role with in the Social Services Childhood Practice sector.

Core units include: Enhanced Professional Practice; Leadership and Team Working; Integrated Working and Collaborative Practice; Policy to Practice; Pedagogical Approaches.

One evening per week.

Entry Requirements

Childcare professionals who are qualified to HNC level or equivalent and in current employment. Where students are not in employment, an extensive placement will be considered.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
