This is a recognised qualification and on completion of the course the student can apply for jobs in an early years support worker role or progress onto SVQ Social Services: Children and Young People SCQF Level 7.

This vocational course aims to provide students with the skills and knowledge required to work with children and young people 0 – 21 years in a variety of settings and to qualify the student to work in a support role. You will gain an international recognised qualification which guarantees that you have the skills, knowledge and abilities required to carry out your role successfully.

Entry Requirements

Childhood Studies: An Introduction or experience working in an early years setting.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
