This Masters in Speech, Language and Sociolinguistics will enable you to explore the links between producing and processing speech and language as part of everyday social interaction. The range of courses available for this programme provide the key linguistic, technical, and research skills to investigate different aspects of spoken and written language, to carry out your own sociolinguistic studies, and to design and implement speech and language experiments of your own.

Entry Requirements

2:1 Honours degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.

You also require a 200 word statement on why you wish to take the MSc in Speech, Language and Sociolinguistics. A sample of your own written work (approx. 2,000 words). This can be from a previous degree you have completed. You are required to submit material that is entirely your own original work, except where clearly indicated.
