This is a work based qualification in Care designed for individuals who are employed and hold a supervisory role within the Health and Social Care sector.

Successful completion of the course will enable the individual to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

The course is designed to be flexible, you are required to attend an evening class once per month with additional support being provided by a work based assessor to guide you through the requirements of the qualification.

You will explore care values, how you communicate with individuals, how to ensure the safety of those you are working with and supporting, learn how to be reflective in practice and how to write reflectively.

Entry Requirements

Entry is at the discretion of the Centre.

Candidates should be in a job or placement where they are carrying out relevant tasks and responsibilities which allow them to gather the required evidence for this qualification. You are required to be working within the Care sector for a minimum of 16hrs per week.
