This course consists of a range of practical areas within the Carpentry and Joinery at Advanced Level.

You will gain knowledge and expertise in a wide variety of construction principles and techniques.

You will be required to complete a number of practical and theoretical subjects including Stairs, Roofs, Windows and Doors that will equip you with the appropriate skills to potentially progress to the next level within the construction industry.

Content: Construction technical communication skills; High class finishes; Specialist doors; Timber stairs with tapered treads; Windows and screens; Workshop and site setting out; Complex pitch roofs; New and sustainable building technologies.

Entry Requirements

A craft certificate in Carpentry and Joinery (SVQ at SCQF Level 5/6 or equivalent). Candidates with relevant experience but without formal qualifications will be considered.
