The Electronic Engineering programme enables students to specialise in three main areas, depending on choice of final year modules: Nanoelectronics, Internet Communications, and Renewable Energy Systems. Students possessing these skills are much sought-after by industry. Those studying Electronic Engineering and Physics take additional core physics modules and thus are ideally prepared for a career as a research scientist/engineer.

Entry Requirements

2020 entry requirements:
4 Highers at BBBB (minimum) but typically AABB including Maths and a science or technological subject; Physics preferred plus English at National 5.

Advanced entry to 2nd year available with Advanced Higher Maths and a science or technological subject at AB or BA plus Highers at AB in different subjects. Advanced Higher Physics preferred.

Our Honours degrees are accredited to BEng level by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
