Content

This course is aimed at students who wish to work in media. Taught in Gaelic, it is very practical hands-on with teaching by industry practitioners. You will have access to facilities including a broadcast studio, Avid editing software and varied single camera equipment. Master classes are also offered in disciplines not covered in compulsory units.


Year 1 - You will study 10 units:
Gaelic Communication: Advanced Speaking; Gaelic Communication: Writing Skills; Camera skills; Editing; TV Planning and Production; Content Development and Research; Scriptwriting; Multi media – Web Development; Journalism: Introduction to Industry and Practise; Radio Production.

Year 2 - You will study 3 units:
Work Placement; European Media – Analysis and Investigation; Creative Project.

Entry Requirements

Relevant HNC, HND or degree. You need to be a fluent communicator in the Gaelic language.
