Provides knowledge, skills and an understanding of business and marketing through units from the HNC Business Framework G9ML15 with a number of option sets available for different career paths. Includes: managing people and organisations, marketing, economics, business accounting, business communication, IT, as well as a business graded unit exam.
The main emphasis is on digital marketing and you will create your own small business website and also learn how to link this to a broad range of PR communications such as; social media pages, blogs and newsletters. You will study marketing theories and other business topics which will support you studying business and marketing to degree level at university; but the digital portfolio you create could also be used to showcase to a prospective employer if you wanted to go straight into the workplace.
2 relevant Highers, preferably including English; or Certificate in Business Administration and IT, or other relevant national qualification at SCQF Level 6. Entry subject to interview and pre-entry test.
