SWAP Access courses are specifically designed for adults returning to full-time education after a significant break and those who are looking for a change in career direction. It is an intensive course which aims to prepare you academically, and to give you the opportunity to develop the skills and confidence you need, for entry into university or HNC courses.
This course is designed to develop knowledge and understanding of physics, chemistry and maths. In addition to these core subjects you will also be working towards developing skills in communications and IT.
This course is not intended for recent school leavers and you must have been out of full time education for 3 years or more depending on previous qualifications. There are no minimum entry requirements but applicants will be required to attend an informal interview and pass a short entry diagnostic assessment. English efficiency entry requirements are an IELTS score of at least 6.0.
This course can lead on to a range of Physical Science, Engineering and Therapeutic and Diagnostic Radiography degree options at university. It would also allow progression onto an HNC in Applied Science or HNC in Engineering
