This course covers a very wide range of skills and knowledge required for preparing to work in the electrical industry, including health and safety, principles of electrical science, electrical installations, installation of wiring systems, and communication within the electrical industry. This course will include a selection of electrical practical and theory-based units.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 or 5 including Maths and a science or technological subject. Progression from relevant access programme, multi-skilled programme, construction, engineering. Interview.

Progression Routes

Progression onto NC Electrical Engineering or into electrical apprenticeship.
