Covers a very wide range of skills and knowledge required for preparing to work in the electrical industry, including: health and safety; principles of electrical science; electrical installations; installation of wiring systems; and communication within building services engineering.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 or 5. Progression from relevant access programme, multi-skilled programme, construction, engineering. Interview.

Progression Routes

Progression onto NC Electrical Engineering or into electrical apprenticeship.
