Our NQ Introduction to Bakery course introduces students to the foundation skills, knowledge and expertise needed to work successfully in a professional bakery. The course provides an opportunity to study three SQA Units at SCQF Level 4, namely - Craft Baking; An Introduction, Cake Decoration; An Introduction and Bread Making; An Introduction. These units will introduce you to the wonderful world of Bakery and will give you an opportunity to make a range of breads, cakes and pastries. There will be an opportunity to design and make novelty cakes, celebration cakes and individual cakes.
This is a professional vocational programme and appropriate clothing must be worn. Students will need to buy specialist equipment for use on the course.
