The programme may include some of the following units: Values and Principles in Care; Human Development and Behaviour; Social Influences on Social Care; Personal and Social Development: Self and Society; Working with Individuals in a Care Setting; Communication; Numeracy and Information and Communication Technology Health and Wellbeing.

The programme includes a placement in a care setting during the second term for learners who demonstrate an aptitude for working in a placement setting and who follow a programme of vocational study.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 4 including English or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. You will attend for interview.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
