This is the theory component of a manufacturing Modern Apprenticeship. The course covers a variety of core subjects in the principles of manufacturing technology and will lead to an SQA qualification that is recognised and sought after by employers.

You will study: Mathematics: Tech 1 and 2; Communication; Information technology; Computer-aided design (CAD); Manufacturing processes; Engineering materials; Graphical communications; Dimensional control; Engineering project; CNC programming; Workshop skills; Assembly skills; Mechanical engineering principals.

Entry Requirements

English, Maths and Physics or a technological subject at National 5; or NC Engineering Practice; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview and aptitude test.
