This horticulture course provides the essential skills and knowledge required to work in the horticulture and landscape industry.

Units include: plant science; soil science; plant selection and identification; work experience; land-based machinery; estate maintenance; establish and maintain plants; amenity turf; plant propagation; identification and control of plant problems.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4, or NC Introduction to Horticulture (Level 4), or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4.

Progression Routes

HNC Horticulture, HNC Landscape Management or employment in horticulture or landscaping.
