This is a practical course for those interested in how electrical systems work and engineering systems in general, and who want to work as electricians or electrical engineers. It introduces the practice and theory of electrical systems.

The course includes practice and theory in:

Electrical installations; Electrical theory; Mathematics; Computer-aided design (CAD); Health and safety
Communication, information technology, problem solving and numeracy.

Entry Requirements

National 4 English, Maths, Design and Manufacture, with a technological or science subject preferred. Interview and practical test.

Progression Routes

HNC Engineering Systems or HNC Electrical Engineering.
