This introductory course is ideal if you wish to pursue a career in health and social care and will enable you to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding relating to health and social care practice.

You will undertake a combination of theory and practical activities including:

Understanding the Needs of the Older Person; Mental Health; First Aid; Human Development and Behaviour.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 including English. Relevant experience will also be considered. Interview and skills test.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
