This course provides an opportunity for you to broaden your range of skills within the care sector and undertake the Care higher.
Units you will study include:
Human Development and Behaviour; Social Influences; Values and Principles; Communication; Numeracy; First Aid; Mental health/mental illness; Stress and stress management; Care higher project.
4 subjects at National 5 at A or B including English; or Foundation Apprenticeship Social Services and Healthcare. Participation at an information session, skills assessment and interview forms part of the selection criteria. You will also require a reference.
You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
You will be required to be immunised in line with Occupational Health's recommendation.
HNC Care and Administrative Practice or HNC Social Services as well as other HE programmes.
