On this course you'll study the practical and theoretical aspects of Bricklaying, which will prepare you for working in the Construction Industry. You'll also develop transferable skills such as numeracy and efficient working practices which will help you to get a job in this field.

You will study:
Health and Safety in a Construction Environment; Half Brick Walling: An Introduction; One Brick Walling: An Introduction; Fundamentals of Cavity Walling; Block Walling: An Introduction; Simple arch Construction; Simple Decorative Brickwork; Numeracy; Sustainability; Construction Occupation Practices.


Entry Requirements

National 4 English, Maths or a science subject, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Entry subject to interview.

Progression Routes

There may also be the opportunity to progress onto other National Qualification courses.
