MSc Petroleum Engineering is the latest addition to the world class suite of engineering programmes; bringing students closer to the energy industry.
The programme is designed with industry support and aims to produce world class Petroleum Engineering professionals that are fully prepared to take up essential roles in the upstream oil and gas industry.
Drawing upon a long established track record of excellence in teaching and research, the programme will be jointly delivered by the School of Engineering and School of Geosciences, as well as key informed contribution from industry based lecturers and tutors.
Our minimum entry requirement for this programme is an Engineering or Applied Mathematics degree at 2:1 (upper second class) UK Honours level (or an Honours degree from a non-UK institution which is judged by the University to be of equivalent worth).
Those with a high 2:2 Honours degree in Engineering or Applied Mathematics may also be considered if they can demonstrate 2+ years of relevant experience.
Students with a Geology, Physics or Chemistry degree may be considered if they have a 2:1 degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience.
