Old Aberdeen Campus
This MSc is founded on the considerable financial expertise within the Business School and on powerful global connections with the financial sector. The focus is not only on academic success but on helping students to build the broad range of specialist skills and experience that to help to advance their career.
The programme combines degree-level study with professional training, providing you with the opportunity to study towards the globally-recognised qualification CFA Levels 1 and 2 as part of the MSc. There are alternative rs for those who do not wish to do CFA or decide to do only level 1. The CFA exams open up the investment management professional world and combining this with an MSc Finance will provide you with all the tools you need for a successful career in financial management.
This programme will provide a thorough grounding in theoretical and practical aspects of finance, economics and investment for those who have already embarked on their finance career and those aspiring to enter a finance profession.
The programme begins with the core disciplines underpinning finance and then builds on these, finishing with a project or dissertation as the capstone of your study and achievement. The programme takes approximately two years and two months to complete, dependent on your chosen start date and pathway.
This programme is open to graduates from any discipline, and does not require business or management study to be completed at undergraduate level.
Minimum entry requirement for this programme is a degree at 2:2 (lower second class) UK Honours level (or a degree from a non-UK institution which is judged by the University to be of equivalent worth).
