This course builds on the HNC in Aircraft Engineering, developing your existing knowledge and giving you even more of an understanding of aircraft engineering to meet the needs of employers.
You’ll expand your knowledge of key aircraft engineering systems, including flight controls, hydraulics, fuel, electrical and avionic. You’ll also look in more detail at environmental systems, including air conditioning, cabin pressurisation and oxygen systems.
You will: develop your knowledge of aerodynamics and flight mechanics; look specifically at gas turbine engines for aircraft or helicopters; look at composite materials; expand your knowledge of fluid mechanics; explore aircraft electrical and electronic principles.
HNC Aircraft Engineering. Entry subject to interview if applying externally.
Relevant degree course at university through the college's articulation arrangements or employment/apprenticeship.
