This course builds on the HND Year 1, giving a deeper understanding of the main areas of sport and exercise science, including Physiology, Biomechanics, Sport Psychology and Nutrition.

There’s a substantial amount of theory and written elements, so you’ll need to be motivated and willing to carry out a lot of independent study and research.

On completion of your HND you will be ideally placed to move directly into industry employment thanks to REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals) accreditation.

Subjects include: Physiological Responses to Exercise; Strength and Conditioning; Qualitative Biomechanical Analysis; Psychological Skills Training in Sport; Exercise for Pre and Post Natal Clients; Measuring Fitness Using Complex Techniques and Calculations; How the Human Body Learns New Skills in Sport and Exercise.

Entry Requirements

HNC Applied Sports and Exercise Science (HND Year 1). Entry subject to an interview process.
