Content

This course will help you work towards your first BSL qualification. It follows on directly from the Introduction to British Sign Language course.

You will build on the topics and skills and develop techniques in Communicating in social and transactional contexts; Using on-line resources; Giving a signed talk; Using the appropriate facial expression; Viewing signed presentations and taking notes; Using compound signs; Using the correct timelines; Using directional verbs. You will focus on topics such as food and drink, leisure activities, weather, describing people and countries. You will use video recording where appropriate and you will be given regular homework tasks and progress checks.




Entry Requirements

Completion of an introductory course to British Sign Language or basic knowledge of BSL signs.
