This course is ideal if you have experience of working or volunteering in a community learning and development setting, such as youth work, adult education or community capacity building and have a strong desire to further develop your knowledge and experience in the broad field of community learning and development. It involves a practical work placement in a relevant community setting.
You will study: Principles and practice; Preparing to work with community groups; Learning approaches; Social science approaches; Accountability for and management of community resources; Working with young people; Adult learning; Workplace practice; Graded unit.
2 Highers plus 2 subjects at National 5; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.
