Content

This course provides an introduction to all areas of the care industry and is aimed at those who have yet to decide which area they wish to work in. The units of study provide knowledge of the core values of the industry which apply to childcare, healthcare, and social care, as well as some specialised units such as mental health.

You will study: Care: values and principles; Care: human development and behaviour; Care: social influences; Human body; Mental health issues; Social services in Scotland; Prevention of infection; National 5 Psychology.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 4 including English; or Certificate: Practical Care Skills; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Interview.
