You will study a range of fiction and non-fiction texts in order to understand and appreciate the techniques writers use to create meaning and impact in their writing. In class you will participate actively in discussion, reading and written tasks that have a keen focus on the course and exam success.

As this is a fast track course, you will also need to commit 3 – 6 hours self-study every week, therefore it is suited to independent, motivated students who can work to a tight schedule.

The class runs Tuesdays 6.00pm - 9.00pm.

Entry Requirements

National 5 English and a short English test.
