This SVQ comprises 8 units (4 mandatory and 4 optional). The mandatory units are: Use and develop methods and systems to communicate, record and report; Contribute to the development and maintenance of healthy and safe practices in the working environment; Take responsibility for the continuing professional development of self and others; Develop practices which promote choice, well-being and protection of all individuals. You will be assessed in the work place and shall produce evidence demonstrating competence in the job role.

Entry Requirements

You should be employed continuously for a minimum of 2 years, with at least 1 year of experience in a Senior Supervisor or Management capacity, working at least 16 hours per week in a care setting.

You would require a satisfactory PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) check to show you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details.
