With the aim of instilling knowledge of nursing (as well as other members of the multidisciplinary teams providing patient care) you will study the professional standards and the psychological and sociological aspects of care.
You will gain a good understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body and the disease process. A work placement will be undertaken.
1 Higher, preferably English; or successful completion of Access to Nursing, or Foundation Apprenticeship Social Services and Healthcare. Or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.
