Content

Bench joinery involves making products in a workshop which will then be fitted on site, such as doors, windows, staircases or units. This course focuses on the skills you’ll need for a career in bench joinery. As you might expect, you’ll do loads of practical work, but with a bit of theory too so you can find out what you need to know to work successfully in this trade.

You will: master your main tool of the trade; look at ‘setting out’ and ‘marking out’ details for bench joinery products; manufacture your own bench joinery products from start to finish; explore building methods and construction technology.
