You’ll participate in advanced theatre production operations through working on real productions in well-known theatres including Ayr Gaiety, as well as UWS and Ayrshire College theatres. You’ll work on industry standard equipment and be taught by very experienced, current industry professionals.

You will: expand on your skills in scenic art and construction; expand on your skills in lighting design for performance; expand on your skills in stage sound and technology; develop research techniques; learn about digital audio workstations; develop your skills in stage management; focus on professional development for technical theatre and production arts.

Entry Requirements

HNC Technical Theatre (with a minimum of 15 credits). Entry subject to interview.

Progression Routes

Entry to year 3 of the BA Technical Theatre and Production at the University of the West of Scotland or employment.
