The HND in Quantity Surveying is a technician level qualification that combines a construction industry specific first-year curriculum with a more specialist second-year curriculum that equips you with the skills required for employment in this specialist industry sector.

You'll study:
Chosen Specialisms; Construction Planning; Construction Technology: Industrial and Commercial Superstructure; Construction Technology: Specialist Systems; Estimating; Quantitative Building Studies: Floors and Roofs; Quantitative Building Studies: Substructure and Drainage; Quantity Surveying Practice; Standard Forms of Construction Contract.

Entry Requirements

HNC Construction Technician within the Built Environment; or other relevant HNC. Interview.

Progression Routes

Employment in higher quantity surveying technician or junior management posts with firms in the construction and property sectors; further study for BSc (Hons) degree courses in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or Building Control at Glasgow Caledonian, Heriot Watt or Edinburgh Napier universities.
