This course is delivered in association with Robert Gordon University, Edinburgh Napier University and NHS Grampian, and will enable students to develop knowledge and competencies for progression as a pre-registered NMC Nurse. It is the first year of a Nursing Degree in either Adult Nursing, Mental Health Nursing or Learning Disability Nursing. Candidates can then complete years 2 and 3 of their degree at Robert Gordon University, or at Edinburgh Napier for specialisation in Learning Disabilities Nursing. This is a full time college course with nursing placements provided within NHS Grampian.
You will learn all about care and administrative practice, covering important topics in safe working practices, hospital patient administration and understanding personal and professional relationships. Throughout the course you will develop essential skills for care practice and learn through doing, whilst developing a thorough knowledge of sociology and physiology for care professionals.
Higher English and Biology plus Maths at National 5 (Foundation Apprenticeship may be accepted in place of 1 Higher). Applications should ideally be made before the end of February as there is a 2-stage interview process.
