This qualification is designed to enable automotive technicians to develop their technological skills and competence to a higher level in order to meet the needs of today’s modern automotive industry.

The programme contains seven units involving: Electrical; Electronic Principles, Engine Management and Technology, Diagnostics; Steering, Suspension, Braking; Stability Control.

You may also be required to cover at least one optional unit from Communication, Customer Care or Getting Started in Business.

Entry Requirements

SCQF Level 6 or 7 (Level 3) qualification in a related subject area or equivalent relevant industry experience.
