In the programme, unique and challenging modules are introduced for example Mobile networks and smartphone applications, Data mining and visualisation in addition to Ethics for IT professionals and Object oriented analysis and design that provide the basics for Big Data. Advanced data science and Intelligent systems are introduced to in depth knowledge of the field. In addition, two modules which focus on research and the latest trends in the field, namely, Research design and methods and Emerging topics in smart networks, help to define and complete the research project on time.
You will normally possess an appropriate undergraduate qualification: Honours Degree (2.2 or above) in Computing/ Engineering (or relevant disciplines) from a UK academic institute or an equivalent 4-year international degree qualification.
