Full time or part time in Dornoch for all levels. The BA and Honours levels are also available online for part time and full time options. It is also available at other UHI sites for the online option, studying through a virtual learning environment.

Studied throughout the course is an integrated blend of experiential, practical and academic study of a mix of golf related subjects and business theory is designed to allow students to apply modern management practices to actual golfing scenarios. A 9 month work placement at a leading golf club/resort is embedded in the third year of the degree, building on your experience and learning over the first two years and enhancing employable skills and opportunities after graduation.

There is no requirement to attend The NHC-Dornoch for years three and four of the Honours degree course, as study units are available online: study therefore is through a virtual learning environment.

Entry Requirements

3 Highers at C or above. Relevant HNC/D may give you entry to year 2 or 3

Progression Routes

The golf management degree has a strong focus on preparing graduates for employment – with 92% of recent graduates progressing on to either jobs in the golf industry, other work or postgraduate education. Past graduates are employed in resorts such as the Belfry, Turnberry and the K Club; in traditional members clubs such as Royal Dornoch itself, Duff Buchanan Castle and Nairn (venue of 2012 Curtis Cup); and other industry leaders such as Taylor Made and Acushnet.
