This programme allows students to gain a suite of qualifications at SCQF Level 6 whilst developing their rugby skills, including NPA Achieving Excellence in Sport and SQA units in Psychology, Circuit Training, and Planning Personal Fitness. Core Skills for working in the sport industry are an essential, timetabled part of this course.

Students may have the opportunity to train with the SRU (Scottish Rugby Union) BT Academy. Students participate in a Strength and Conditioning Programme and coaching sessions focussing on technical and tactical skills.

Entry Requirements

English and/or Physical Education at National 5. Applicants without academic qualifications may be considered based on a skills test and coach reference.

This programme is designed to develop the competitive abilities of a player and it is expected that applicants will be playing rugby at club or team level and can evidence how they are developing their performance.
