The new BA (Hons) Contemporary Film Making in the Highlands and Islands is designed to allow students to produce creative films using the rural landscape of Scotland; working with local writers and musicians; and in scenic locations.
The programme will give you the opportunity to collaborate with local communities, and arts and cultural industry experts to set up realistic industry links for your future career and employment.
You will study a mix of craft skills, editing and production, film studies, documentaries and cultural archiving and recording in an environment that promotes personal development and learning. You will also develop skills in small business planning and research while acquiring technical ability and hands-on, intensive experience.
3 Highers at C or above in an English based subject and Computing Science at National 5 or equivalent; or Foundation Apprenticeship Creative and Digital Media PLUS 1 additional Higher from English, History or Psychology. You will be required to attend an interview to assess your technical ability.
