This course provides an introduction to subjects related to the world of childcare. You will develop your soft skills in subjects such as ICT, numeracy and communication within a care context.

There may be an opportunity for a short work experience placement.

Content:
Mental health issues; Psychology; Sociology; Care practice; Development and wellbeing of children and young people; Children and Young People: Practice of play and process of play.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 4 including English.
