This course aims to give an introduction to the catering and hospitality industry. You will develop a range of catering and service skills and techniques within a realistic kitchen and restaurant working environment where team work will be required.
Introduction to Food Preparation Techniques; Introduction to Cookery Processes; Introduction to Craft Bakery; Working Safely in the Hospitality Industry; Food and Beverages services: Counter; Food and Beverage services: Table; Hospitality: Introduction to Events; Hospitality: Organisation of Practical Skills; Communications, ICT and Numeracy; High level of working with customers, colleagues and the public.
No formal entry requirements. Interview.
NC Professional Cookery: Level 5. Employment within the catering and hotel industry.
