This exciting one-year course is a hands-on project based course designed as an introduction to career paths in radio, television, film, digital media and potentially journalism or media and communications.

Based in classrooms and our professional radio and TV studios, you will be working on your own and in teams. With the support of staff, you’ll develop a broad range of creative and work-ready skills including; creative analysis, creative process and production, problem solving, working with others and entrepreneurialism.

You will study: The creative process; How to work with creative briefs; How to promote and market yourself and your creative output; Radio production; Video production; Sound production; Copyright/intellectual property; Enterprise and employability.

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 5 including English and an art based or science subject; or Foundation Apprenticeship: Creative and Digital Media plus 2 subjects at National 5; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Entry subject to interview and portfolio of work preferred.
