This course is affiliated to the Scottish Wider Access Programme (SWAP). It is intended for mature students who have been out of education for at least five years and are looking for a fast track to higher education at College or University.

This is a challenging course that includes a selection of National 5 and 6 units including: Psychology, Sociology, Law, Business, History, IT, Communication, Literacy and Numeracy. There are no formal entry qualifications however; students must be able to demonstrate their ability to cope with the demands of academic work at his level. Successful completion of this one year programme guarantees you a place in Arts, Humanities, Business course at College or University. Students are also eligible to apply to study Law at University.

Entry Requirements

This course is for mature students who have been out of education for at least 5 years and have little or no qualifications, or qualifications that are out of date.

For a place on this course, you will need to attend an interview where you will be asked to submit a short piece of written work.
