The programme provides a broad foundation of photographic skills and experiences relating to studio, location, digital, film and traditional photography. The programme also develops experience of co-operative working, presentation, exhibition and self-promotion skills that can provide initial entry to employment within the photo-imaging sector or enhance current skills in the workplace.
You will undertake a range of integrated projects developing skills in traditional photography and image editing software.
Subjects studied will include the following: Camera Techniques, Lighting, Studio Photography, Portraiture, Location Photography, Analogue Processes, Digital Imaging, Creative Manipulation, Image Manipulation and File Optimisation. The course content is subject to change.
3 subjects at National 5, preferably including English and Art and Design or Graphic Communication, or NQ Foundation Studies in Creative Industries. Interview and portfolio of work.
