This course will provide a comprehensive grounding for a rewarding career within the field of Civil Engineering. The course will give students the opportunity to achieve the knowledge, understanding and skills required to gain employment in the sector, or progress to higher education

The following subject areas will be studied: Civil Engineering Materials Civil Engineering Project Civil Engineering Site Work Civil Engineering Technology Computer Aided Drafting: An Introduction Construction Site Surveying: An Introduction Health and Safety in the Construction Industry Mathematics: Craft 1 Mechanics for Construction: An Introduction Mathematics for Construction Technicians Core Skills.

The NC can be attained over two academic years by attending college one day per week.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 5 from English, Maths and science or technological subjects; Maths preferred; or Construction or Engineering at SCQF Level 5. Entry is by interview and short test.
