This course is for ambitious students who are intent on a career in the construction industry, but are unsure which aspect of construction will interest them. The course is structured to cover a broad range of technical construction knowledge, to develop and enhance existing skills, and equip the student for progression to university or the workplace.
You will gain work-related skills including study, research, analysis, planning and organisational skills; you will meet employers through site visits and work placements; and work with technicians and university staff at Edinburgh Napier University in practical sampling and testing labs.
2 Highers plus relevant subjects at National 5 including a science or technological subject, or relevant Foundation Apprenticeship, or NC Built Environment, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview and aptitude test.
HND Architectural Technology, Building Surveying, Construction Management, and Quantity Surveying at another college; 2nd year entry to Construction Degree course at Napier University.
