You will gain knowledge, understanding and skills in a variety of construction disciplines which will prepare you for further study or employment in the construction industry. During the year you will develop skills and knowledge in building design and technology, building services, computer aided drawing, health and safety, construction materials, mechanics for construction, modern construction methods, and sustainability in the building industry. The course is taught within a classroom environment with practical experience gained from workshops, field trips and site visits.

Entry Requirements

1 Higher; or relevant Foundation Apprentice plus relevant subjects at National 5 including a science or technological subject; or NC Built Environment (Level 6); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Selection by interview and short test.

Progression Routes

HND Architectural Technology, Building Surveying, Construction Management, and Quantity Surveying at another college; 2nd year entry to Construction Degree course at Napier University.
