This course gives you the skills you need to study Mechanical Engineering at an advanced level at college, or university. You'll study Higher level Maths and Physics, as well as introductory units in Mechanical Engineering.

The Access to Engineering course also covers a range of practical skills such as Communication, ICT, Statics, Dynamics and Thermofluids. In addition you'll complete a practical Engineering workshop skills unit. So if you're looking to take the first steps to becoming an engineer, this course could be for you.

You'll study: Higher Maths and Higher Physics modules; Mechanical Engineering units such as Thermofluids, Statics and Strength of Materials, Dynamics, Engineering Mathematics and CAD; Core and practical skills in Communication, ICT and Engineering workshop skills.
