The NQ Kitchen Fitting with Health & Safety course develops knowledge and skills for work within the kitchen fitting discipline. The mainly practical based course focuses on developing basic hand tool skills aligned with the chosen discipline.
This qualification covers areas such as basic joinery techniques, essential employability skills, general workplace health, safety and welfare, productive work practices and installing fitted furniture (kitchen fitting).
This qualification provides the underpinning knowledge for those wishing to seek employment within the kitchen fitting discipline. The course covers the following content: Develop Bench Joinery Skills; Kitchen Installation; Kitchen Design; Construction Skills Certification Scheme Test (CSCS); Health & Safety in the Built Environment.
Relevant qualifications at National 4 including English and Maths. Interview.
The course is tailored to develop the skills required to help students gain employment in the Plumbing Industry or further study at NC in the Built Environment or Building Services.
