ECDL: Module 1 Security for the IT User and Module 7 using Email and Internet

Discover how to use e-mail software to send and receive messages, and attach files to mail messages. This module will also cover how to use the Internet in a safe manner and how to protect yourself, and your data, from a range of fraudulent/malicious activities online. Through practical exercises and demonstrations, this course develops a broad knowledge of Microsoft Windows Explorer and its tools.

Module 1 - Security for IT Users; Module 7 - Using the Internet and Email

This course covers two modules of the complete ECDL programme and is delivered using Syllabus 5 and Microsoft Office 2013. In order to gain the complete qualification, students are required to complete a total of 7 modules and their associated assessments.

Tuesday - 6.00pm - 9.00pm

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but all students should have basic knowledge and experience when it comes to using computers, including how to use a mouse. This course is a suitable follow-on from introductory computing courses.
