Theatre Production in the UK is currently undergoing an unprecedented period of growth with Stage Managers and Theatre Technicians in high demand. Theatre, events, festivals, music industries and the new National Theatre of Scotland provides an ever-increasing choice and variety of career options.

This practical hands-on course offers the opportunity to continue your studies from NC Technical Theatre in all production areas and to work as Deputies then Heads of Department in Stage Management, Lighting and Sound, Scenic Art and Construction on public performances in the purpose built theatre and other Fife Theatre venues. In year 2 you will also undertake a professional industrial placement which forms the bridge between the college experience and the profession.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers including English or Drama plus 3 subjects at National 5 preferably including English and Maths; or NC Technical Theatre; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. You will attend for interview. Evidence through a portfolio of technical work done.
