Do you want to hone and develop the many practical skills involved in the multi disciplines of agriculture practice? This husbandry-based HNC has been designed to provide you with these practical skills as well as the theoretical knowledge required to undertake the running of a farm enterprise.
You will be given the opportunity to study in both a national and global context with emphasis throughout the course on agriculture as a multi-functional industry.
Subjects include:
Arable crop production; Crop production and harvesting; Environmental awareness; Farm power; Grass and fodder crop production; Livestock breeding; Livestock growth, heath and welfare; Livestock husbandry and recording; Livestock production systems; Soil and crop establishment.
1 Higher plus 3 subjects at National 4; or NC Agriculture.
HND Agriculture or employment in arable or livestock farming.
